Background
My background encompasses a diverse range of clinical training experiences. I received generalist training at Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, which provided me with the opportunity to assess and treat patients across the spectrum of lifespan development, addressing a wide variety of presenting problems in various treatment settings. My clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment settings, psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing, community-based treatment and assessment of severe mental health conditions. I have extensive training in organizational development and have collaborated with students and executives to enhance their leadership skills. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, I spent several years working in sales and design.
Approach
My approach to treatment can formally be described as eclectic. This means that I tailor my approach to the unique presenting problems of each individual patient. This involves an initial case formulation, in which I work with patients to understand their personal history and background, and work together to formulate hypotheses about how various experiential, biological, and innate psychological factors may be influencing current struggles. This is not a one-off process, but rather an ongoing project that is refined, elaborated, and understood through the process of individual therapy. In plain terms, this means I work with patients to understand the root causes of their current problems, and collaborate to find creative solutions.
Specialty
I see patients for individual psychotherapy from a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform. Some seek individual therapy for substance use, difficult life transitions, or the inability to make necessary changes for a fulfilling life. While psychiatric diagnoses like depression, anxiety, or ADHD can help put a name to our struggles, they often fail to fully capture the scope of an individual’s experience. I’m comfortable treating patients with various presenting problems; however, due to the remote nature of my practice, some patients require a higher level of care than I am able to provide. Please reach out if you’re interested in working together so that we can determine whether I might be a good fit.
