Background
I completed generalist training in Clinical Psychology at Widener University, which provided me with the opportunity to assess and treat patients across the spectrum of lifespan development. My training background includes inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment settings, psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing, community-based treatment, and assessment of severe mental health conditions. I also have extensive training in organizational/leadership development and assessment, and have collaborated with students and executives to enhance their leadership skills. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, I spent several years working in sales and design.
Approach
My approach to treatment can formally be described as eclectic. This means that I tailor my approach to the unique presenting problems of each individual patient. This involves an initial case formulation, in which I work with patients to understand their personal history and background, and collaborate to formulate hypotheses about how various experiential, biological, and innate psychological factors may be influencing current struggles. In plain terms, this means I work with patients to figure out the root causes and patterns of their current problems, and collaborate to find creative solutions.
Specialty
I see patients for individual psychotherapy from a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform. Some seek individual therapy for substance use, difficult life transitions, or the inability to make necessary changes for a fulfilling life. While psychiatric diagnoses like depression, anxiety, or ADHD can help put a name to our struggles, they often fail to fully capture the scope of an individual’s experience. I’m comfortable treating patients with a wide range of presenting problems. Please reach out if you’re interested in working together so that we can determine whether I might be a good fit.
